“Brigadeiros” or gluten-free little chocolate balls

Sorry to say this, but there are no little coconut balls without this little chocolate balls next to them! It’s just the way it is, the perfect combination!
I’m a chocolate lover so when doing this recipe I have to be sure I’m taking them away from my house otherwise I'll just sit down and eat them all till the very last one is gone.   This recipe is easy and fun, you can roll the little balls in some many different types of sprinkles or covers that gives you the freedom to use them for different purposes.

Ingredients
1 Can Condensed Milk
3 Squares 1oz each Semi-Sweet Gluten-free Baking Chocolate
Sprinkles for rolling the balls (please label of package to check they are gluten-free)
1 Teaspoon butter

In a heavy saucepan over medium heat combine the condensed milk and chocolate squares.  Mix constantly with a wooden spoon (about 15 min), until mixture starts to thicken and begin to loosen from the bottom of the pan.
Remove from heat and let it cool for 2-3 hours.

Once cool, grease your hands with the butter and take small amount of mixture and roll into a 1 inch ball, then roll through the sprinkles.  If doing “brigadeiros” the sprinkles have to be the chocolate flavored jiimmies ones.  I want to add here also that I was surprised when checking the sprinkles labels of the tons of additive they could have, so when using this recipe as a gluten-free one please be sure to check the labels of the sprinkles container before using them.

Continue with the rest of the mixture.  Keep it in an air-tight recipient until time to serve.  Serves 38 – 40 little balls.

These are the classic Brigadeiros
Nuts outside - the best

Super easy and neat plain granulated sugar
Colorful sprinkles - super fun for specially for kids

Adding some almond slices gives them a nice touch
